Festival de Málaga will award its Biznagas at the closing gala of its 28th edition, presented by Salva Reina and Elena Sánchez
Singers María José Llergo, Xoel López and El Kanka will add a musical touch to the ceremony

The closing gala of the 28th Festival de Málaga will be held on Saturday 22 March at 20:00 at the Cervantes Theatre. It will be the perfect ending to an edition that has stood out for the quantity and quality of the best Spanish-language film content, and where were have seen the best-known faces of our seventh art.

The ceremony will be hosted by presenter and journalist Elena Sánchez and actor Salva Reina. The most eagerly-awaited moment will be the presentation of the Official Competition Biznaga awards. Guests will be able to enjoy musical performances by artists María José Llergo, Xoel López and El Kanka.

From 18:00 the Festival's webTV and its social media will broadcast the red carpet with all this year’s guests and award winners, while the gala can be followed on the same channel, on TVE's La 2 and the RTVE Play digital platform.

After almost ten days of screenings and presentations of films, series, documentaries, short films and Spanish-language film projects, the Festival de Málaga will present the awards to the winners of the ten Biznagas de Plata (Special Jury Prize, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Screenplay, Best Music, Best Cinematography and Best Editing) and two Biznagas de Oro (Best Spanish and Ibero-American Film), which will be awarded to the crews and stars of the films presented in the Official Competition.

This closing gala will put the finishing touch to an unforgettable edition of the Festival de Málaga, reaffirming its commitment to the promotion and dissemination of the best Spanish-language cinema. Ten days of films, talent and emotion have once again turned Malaga into the epicentre of the film industry. Now, the Festival bids farewell until next year by awarding the coveted Biznagas, leaving behind memorable moments and great stories.
