Festival de Málaga opens the call for entries for the second edition of the Ibershorts Award, for Ibero-American short films

Almost 30 festivals from 20 countries will participate in this initiative during the 30th edition of the festival, in collaboration with Festhome

The deadline for submitting entries for this section, organised by the competition and the City Council's Social Rights Department, is 8 November

Cine Abierto schedules 105 free screenings in all districts of Malaga 11 June 2026

Malaga City Council's summer cinema programme starts on 2 July and will run until 13 August in 18 venues

Festival de Málaga opens submissions for its 30th edition, which will take place from 26 February to 7 March 2027 10 June 2026

Open Cinema is our must-attend event during those summer days. The Malaga Festival makes family moments an authentic way of enjoying cinema on our summer nights, with screenings on the capital’s beaches and in all the districts of Malaga.

CINE ALBÉNIZ

The Cine Albéniz is one of the most emblematic cinemas in the city. With an excellent location in the heart of Malaga, it is characterised as the headquarters of the Malaga festival and by its now classic Filmoteca (Film library), with screenings of art films and films that have screened through other festivals.
