Javier Díaz Garrido designs the poster for the 28th Festival de Málaga, which connects the event to the sea

The work of this award-winning designer will illustrate the different formats of the 28th edition of the event, from the 14th to 23rd March 2025.

With the collaboration of Spain’s Ministry of Culture, the films ‘La Casa’, ‘Los destellos’, ‘Mugaritz. Sin pan ni postre’, ‘Segundo premio’ and ‘Soy Nevenka’ will screen in November and December

The Festival de Málaga will take five Andalusian scriptwriters to Montevideo as part of the -Entre Guiones- section of Ventana Sur 14 November 2024

This initiative is sponsored by the Consejería de Turismo y Andalucía Exterior, with the collaboration of the Andalucía Film Academy

The Festival de Málaga announces the fourth edition of Hack MAFIZ, an event aimed at young Spanish and Latin American digital creators 08 November 2024

The participants will face audiovisual challenges that will culminate in their participation in the 28th edition of the competition

Open Cinema is our must-attend event during those summer days. The Malaga Festival makes family moments an authentic way of enjoying cinema on our summer nights, with screenings on the capital’s beaches and in all the districts of Malaga.

CINE ALBÉNIZ

The Cine Albéniz is one of the most emblematic cinemas in the city. With an excellent location in the heart of Malaga, it is characterised as the headquarters of the Malaga festival and by its now classic Filmoteca (Film library), with screenings of art films and films that have screened through other festivals.
