The Jerry Goldsmith Awards will be held for the 16th time as part of the MOSMA film music festival from 23 to 26 October
The tenth audiovisual music exhibit organised by the Festival de Málaga will take place at Cervantes Theatre and Echegaray Theatre

The tenth edition of Movie Score Málaga (MOSMA), the international festival of audiovisual music organised by the Malaga City Council through the Festival de Málaga, will take place from 23 to 26 October in an edition in which, in addition to concerts and meetings with great composers, the Jerry GoldsmithAwards will once again be held in Malaga, reaching their sixteenth edition in 2025.

MOSMA 2025, which will announce its schedule and ticket sales soon, will celebrate this year a special edition in Cervantes Theatre and Echegaray Theatre, on the occasion of its tenth anniversary, which had to include one of the most important awards in film music, the Jerry Goldsmith Awards, awarded annually by the Film Music Festival.

Consolidated internationally after having acquired a well-deserved reputation among creators and enthusiast, the goal of these awards is to recognise the work of musicians in the audiovisual sector (film, television, advertising or other media), especially those who, despite having an impressive career, have not received the recognition they deserve, always with special attention to young composers, newcomers or those who are starting out in the medium.

At the awards ceremony, participants submit their creations to be judged in the different categories contemplated in the rules, and from the selected finalists, the winners in each of the sections will be announced during the ceremony that will take place in Malaga in October.

The Jerry Goldsmith Awards are awarded in nine categories — full-length music, short film, video game, documentary, television, advertising/promotion, song, performing arts and free creation — plus a tenth award for the best composer each year.

These awards have involved authors as great as Lucas Vidal, Zeltia Montes, Marc Vaíllo, Zacarías M. de la Riva, Sergio de la Puente, Marc Timón, James Peterson, Stuart Hancock, Aritz Villodas, Neal Acree, Arturo Cardelús and Alan Williams, and have helped in some of these cases to support their very promising careers.
