Schoolchildren from more than 20 schools in the province come up with a name for the Festival de Málaga animated biznaga
The festival has chosen 'Jazmín' from the 24 proposals received in a competition held last year at the Kids’ Films Section sessions
More than a hundred children from CEIP Jacaranda attended the official announcement of the name of the Festival de Málaga animated biznaga today at the Albéniz Cinema, in an event attended by the Councillor for Culture and Historical Heritage of Malaga City Council, Mariana Pineda; the manager of Malaga Procultura and director of the Festival de Málaga, Juan Antonio Vigar; and the head of studies at the school, Sandra Bravo.
‘Jazmín' was the name chosen by the Festival de Málaga for its animated biznaga, a children's version of its well-known award. Proposed by the pupils from CEIP Jacaranda primary school in Benalmádena, this name was selected from a total of 24 proposals from as many schools in the province in a competition held during the 28th edition of the competition last March.
The festival asked for name proposals from the 3,500 participants in the 20 sessions of the 28th Festival de Málaga Kids’ Films Section. The children, aged 3 to 12, attend the following schools: CEIP Tierno Galván, CEIP Mare Nostrum (Torrox), CEIP Neill, CEIP Parque Clavero, CEIP Intelhorce, Colegio Novaschool Añoreta (Rincón de la Victoria), CEIP Simón Bolívar, Colegio El Torcal, CEIP Julio Caro Baroja, Colegio La Gloria, CEIP Ximénez de Guzmán, CEIP Antonio Machado, CEIP La Paloma, CEIP Antonio Gutiérrez Mata, CEIP Jacaranda (Benalmádena), CEIP Espíritu Santo, Colegio Francisco de Quevedo, CDP El Monte, CEIP Tierno Galván (Rincón de la Victoria), CEIP Constitución 1978, CEIP Mar Romera, CEIP Gandhi, CEIP Blas Infante and CEIP Miraflores de los Ángeles.
