SYNOPSIS This film is the story of Gerard Basset, a world renowned, much loved and respected sommelier. Gerard was the most acclaimed sommelier of all time and his story charts his life and career and provides inspiration to many, as Gerard left school with no qualifications, but his determination, tenacity and passion for wine, study and travel, ensured he became a great success in his chosen career of sommelier. Gerard sadly passed away in 2019 and his story is told by his wife, his son and friends of him.
