SYNOPSIS In a small town in Valencia after the Spanish Civil War, Ana and her family struggle to make ends meet. The war has left them all deeply wounded, especially her brother-in-law, Antonio. Ana tries to heal them with her cooking, her secrets and her silence, but when Isabel, Antonio's new wife, joins the family, Ana's attention and care will make no difference: sacrifice is not always rewarded.
Celia Rico Clavellino
Her career started with award-winning short "Luisa no está en casa" in 2013. Her successful debut feature, 'Viaje al cuarto de una madre' (2018), premiered at the San Sebastian Film Festival. It received numerous awards and nominations, including the Goya Award for Best New Director. Los pequeños amores' (2024) had its premiere at the Malaga Film Festival, where it was awarded two important prizes, including the Silver Biznaga - Special Jury Prize. It is currently nominated for a Goya Award (Best Editing) and three Gaudí Awards (Best Film in a Non-Catalan Language, Best Supporting Actress for Adriana Ozores and Best Breakthrough Performance for Aimar Vega).
