SYNOPSIS A small village lost in the middle of a vast pine forest in the north of Spain. A place that hides ghosts and does not remember. My family's stone house, locked with three padlocks. During a traditional celebration, the eligible men cut down the tallest, longest, and straightest pine tree and plant it in the village square. My great-grandmother and her daughter were killed in the same spot 70 years earlier. A double femicide, committed in front of everyone, but never spoken of until now.
Lorena Muñoz
She works as a screenwriter and director. She studied Film at the Center for Research and Experimentation in Video and Film (1996–1999). She was awarded for her short fiction thesis film
El cazador es un corazón solitario (1999, 16mm), which won a BAFICI prize and a scholarship for the Screenwriting Workshop at EICTV, Cuba. She participated in the
Versión Española program (Televisión Española). She has taught and lectured at prestigious institutions, including the Centro Cultural Recoleta in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Casa de América in Madrid, Spain. She has served as a jury member in the international competition at numerous festivals, including those in Havana, Málaga, Mar del Plata, and FIDOCS.
