SYNOPSIS Lucas, a 47-year-old man, and Antonia, an elderly woman, live together in a central apartment in the city. Their life goes on in a routine manner until the process of gentrification forces them to leave their home. A decision made by Lucas will change the rest of their lives.
Daniel Guzmán He began his career as an actor at the age of 14, earning widespread recognition in film, theater, and television. In 2003, he made his debut as a director, screenwriter, and producer with the short film Sueños, which won numerous national and international awards, including the Goya for Best Short Film. In 2015, he directed A cambio de nada, one of the year’s most acclaimed films, which won two Goya Awards (Best New Director and Best New Actor), the Biznaga de Oro for Best Film, Best Director, and the Special Jury Prize. In 2022, he directed his second feature film, Canallas, a social comedy that received widespread critical and audience acclaim. La deuda is his third feature film, a social drama, a genre that has been central to both his training and career.
