SYNOPSIS A story based on true events. When Antonio receives a diagnosis that threatens to tear his family apart, his daughter and granddaughter return to Málaga to be with him. There, Lucía, determined to save her grandfather, clings to her faith and makes a promise to the Cautivo (Christ in Chains): to play music in his footsteps in exchange for her life. Amidst music, sacrifice, and hope, the granddaughter embarks on a journey that will transform not only her own life, but also that of her entire family.
Alejandro Luque Born in Málaga in 2002 and is a young director and executive producer whose works stand out for their visual sensitivity and deep connection to Málaga's traditions. In just a few years, he has directed three emotionally charged short films. In 2025, he directed and staged El Cautivo de Málaga, a landmark film that blends Holy Week and audiovisual language, confirming him as one of the most promising voices in Andalusian cinema. FILMOGRAPHY Interludio (short film, 2023), Sin paz no hay descanso (short film, 2021)
