SYNOPSIS A photograph, a quiet legacy of power, and the ideological battles that echo through generations. In searching through fragments of the past, I catch glimpses of what we choose not to see, what slips through the cracks of our awareness. How do we inherit what we cannot grasp, forcing us to repeat the same gestures over and over again?
Albert Kuhn Filmmaker whose work blends personal memory and archival research to explore silence, guilt, and transgenerational history. His short film Dreams for a Better Past (2025) was premiered at IDFA and won a Special Jury Mention. In addition to his filmmaking, Kuhn has collaborated on international co-productions and taught as a guest lecturer at the Netherlands Film Academy, ESCAC, and Sahara Cinema School.
