SYNOPSIS Can oral history restore a forgotten part of our past? Can it break the silence that has been perpetuated over generations?In 1969, seventeen-year-old Mariona was arrested and imprisoned in a reformatory ruled by the Women's Welfare Agency, which was dedicated to 'regenerating fallen women' during Franco’s dictatorship. In 2023, Mariona and her daughter look back to piece together her story.

They are filmmakers based in Barcelona, their audiovisual creations have always been linked to the social and feminist movements, with a special interest in queer genealogies. Sofia and Isa directed the short film

Idrissa: crónica de una muerte cualquiera, and in 2017 she co-directed with Sofia the documentary series
Follo Ergo Sum. Isa is co-director of the documentary short film
La ciutat interior premiered at IDFA and presented at the Malaga Film Festival.
