Concepción Vásquez
She is an Ayuujk woman from Tlahuitoltepec, Oaxaca. She is a community development engineer and has dedicated her life to promoting the well-being of her community. In 2020, she participated in the
Polos Virtuales workshop, focused on writing and scriptwriting. In 2022, she received support from the ECAMC for the production of her first documentary titled
Mujer de barro (
Woman of Clay), which highlights the role of women in her culture. That same year, she won a photography award for a piece themed around the Day of the Dead. In 2023, she was honored with the Voice of Women award by INMUJERES, recognizing her work in advocating for the rights and visibility of Indigenous women.
