SYNOPSIS El 47 tells the story of an act of peaceful dissent and the grassroots neighbourhood movement that in 1978 transformed Barcelona and changed the image of its suburbs forever. Manolo Vital was a bus driver who took over a vehicle of the bus line 47 to disprove a lie that the City Council insisted on repeating: that buses could not climb the hills of the Torre Baró district. An act of rebellion that proved to be a catalyst for change, for people to take pride in their roots, for a neighbourhood struggle and for the working class that helped create the modern Barcelona of the 70s.
