SYNOPSIS El Canto de las Manos approaches deafness through music, following the lives of Jennifer, Gabriel, and José, three Deaf musicians from Venezuela, who must overcome adversities to bring Beethoven's
Fidelio to life in its first-ever staging in Sign Language, conducted by Gustavo Dudamel. The film portrays the isolation the protagonists experience for being Deaf, showing that music is not only their refuge, but also their salvation and hope.
