SYNOPSIS Auri, a 65-year-old housewife, receives her first money of her own and, without telling anyone, embarks on a journey of self-discovery and independence. Her husband, absorbed in the past, and her son, frustrated by unfulfilled dreams, face their own crises as they search for her. Auri’s departure forces them to value what they have and question whether success and social recognition are essential for happiness, or if love and respect within the family are enough.
Violeta Salama
Granada, 1982. She holds a degree in Audiovisual Communication from the Complutense University of Madrid and a Master's in Creative Documentary from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. She studied Film Production at Vancouver Film School and worked on
The L Word and
Smallville. In Spain, she directed
Crematorio and
Amar en tiempos revueltos and was an assistant director on
Dictado,
Blancanieves, and
El sexo de los ángeles. In 2021, she released
Alegría, winning awards at the Sephardi Jewish Film Festival and FICAL. In 2023, she directed
Días mejores (Prime Video) and
Detective Touré (Tornasol/DeAPlaneta).
