SYNOPSIS Maia, Yenifer and Luciana begin working as caregivers for the elderly. The routine at the nursing home, very different from what they were used to, becomes challenging. But as their bond with the residents strengthens, they discover as trans women that they have much more in common with older people than they thought.

She is a director and screenwriter. Her latest short film,
El nombre del hijo (2020), premiered at the Berlin Film Festival, where it won the first prize in the Generation Kplus section. It then screened at 80 festivals, winning 15 more awards, and was featured on platforms such as HBO, Filmin, and SRF.
Cuidadoras (2025) is her first feature-length documentary. She is currently working on the documentary
Tristán and her first fiction feature,
Lo ideal.

Gabriela Uassouf
She is a screenwriter, director, and producer specializing in non-fiction. She coordinated the production of
Terminal norte (2021) and
Camarera de piso (2022), both directed by Lucrecia Martel, and is part of the research team for
Chocobar, the director’s feature-length documentary.
Cuidadoras is her first feature-length documentary as a director. She is currently working on the documentary
Tristán.
