SYNOPSIS An old, surly and poor man, who lives with his young wife on the outskirts of a small mountain town paralyzed after the closure of the mine that gave it life, receives an offer from a mysterious stranger: a juicy sum of money in exchange for a “special” job. “I need someone to die,” Almeida hears, incredulous. The assignment is to kill the owner of the mine as a precondition for an alleged major investment that promises to bring progress and prosperity back to the town.
