SYNOPSIS The true story of Richard III, the film is born at the threshold where theater becomes cinema. Without documenting or explaining the process, the film invents its own language. Calixto Bieito's radical staging finds a new pulse in Marcelo Piñeyro's camera. The camera doesn't observe from the outside: it enters, listens, accentuates, and uncovers details invisible from the audience. A hybrid experience, suspended between reality and fiction, where both languages merge to tell a reinvented truth.

Argentine director, screenwriter, and producer. His filmography includes emblematic titles of contemporary Argentine cinema such as

Las viudas de los jueves, which have been presented and awarded at international festivals. In
La verdadera historia de Ricardo III, la película, he explores the intersection between cinema and theater, constructing a hybrid language that expands his narrative and formal exploration. Based on a production and direction by Calixto Bieito.
