The actors Carlos Scholz and Stephanie Magnin, and the filmmaker Rafael Robles Rafatal, award winners at the Malaga Cinema Gala
The projects selected for the 2024 audiovisual creation grants have also been announced.

The Malaga Cinema gala was held this Wednesday, at which various figures from the Malaga film scene were recognised and the beneficiary projects of the 2024 audiovisual creation grants were announced. The event, which took place at Teatro Cervantes, was hosted by journalist Celia Bermejo and the young Malaga pianist Marcos Castilla Jiménez, who performed at the event thanks to the collaboration of Fundación Málaga and its Beca Talento Fundación Malaga scholarship programme.

This 27th edition of the event has once again focused on the talent that is present in Malaga. To this end, various awards were presented to figures from different sectors of the film industry. The acting awards went to actor Carlos Scholz ('Toy Boy', 'Feria, la luz más oscura', 'La maniobra de la tortuga', 'Mi otro Jon'), actress Stephanie Magnin ('El Ministerio del Tiempo', 'The Crown', 'Ventajas de viajar en tren', 'Mía es la venganza'), and filmmaker Rafael Robles Rafatal ('Una isla en el desierto', 'La llave', 'Transuniversal').

During the Malaga Cinema Gala, which was attended by the Mayor of Malaga, Francisco de la Torre, and the Councillor for Culture and Historical Heritage, Mariana Pineda, the Festival announced the Production Grants that support the Malaga audiovisual industry.
