The animated short films were presented today in the Animazine section of the Festival de Málaga
Hall 2 of the Albéniz cinema has witnessed twelve stories filmed in 2D and stop motion animation

The animated short films of the Animazine section were presented this Monday 17th March at the Festival de Málaga, filling the screen with colour and magical universes. This is the last short film screening that will fight for the Biznagas this year. The section brings together a total of twelve pieces that have been screened in a single programme.

The presentation of the works was attended by some members of their teams, who wanted to share with the audience their creative process and the inspirations behind their projects: Chelo Loureiro, producer of 'Lola, Lolita, Lolaza' and director of 'Yo voy conmigo'; Begoña Arostegui, director of 'El cambio de rueda'; Sam Orti, director of 'La valla'; Marolyn Ávila, director of 'De-sastre'; Marc Riba, director of 'Mater benefacta'; Sonia Estévez, director of 'Plazer bat'; Aurelia Gil Junco, director of 'Nieve roja'; Pablo Jiménez Gallardo, director of 'Unliked'; and Vicente Mallols, director of 'Carmela'.

The twelve animated shorts, over the course of 110 minutes, have told different stories: in 'Lola, Lolita, Lolaza' the director's experience of breast cancer is narrated in the first person and with a lot of humour; in 'Buffet paraíso' we attend a buffet in which we are told about the sin of gluttony; in 'El cambio de rueda' we go on a complicated car journey with the protagonist; In 'La valla' we are told about the hope of a better future after jumping a fence; in 'De-sastre' a girl starts to live in a new flat when animals start to appear dressed in scraps of her clothes; in 'Mater benefacta' we witness life in a convent of nuns during Franco's regime; in 'Plazer bat' the simple and peculiar pleasures of each person are highlighted; in 'Nieve roja' we learn about the curious relationship between a girl and a vampire; in 'Unliked' there is a reflection on bullying on social networks; in 'Etorriko da (eta zure begiak izango ditu)' a small community collapses due to an environmental crisis; in 'Yo voy conmigo' we reflect on whether we should change for someone else; and in 'Carmela' we see the story of a woman during the Civil War.
