Festival de Málaga will promote Andalusian screenwriters at the major audiovisual market Ventana Sur in Buenos Aires
The -Entre Guiones- project is supported by the Regional Ministry of Culture and Sport through the CreANDo programme run by the Andalusian Agency for Cultural Institutions

Festival de Málaga, through its Industry Area MAFIZ, is once again participating in the project -Entre Guiones-, organised and developed by Ventana Sur, which will take place from 1 to 5 December 2025 in Buenos Aires (Argentina).  The aim of this collaboration between Festival de Málaga and Ventana Sur is to include Andalusian talent in this event, through its screenwriters and their works, in order to develop a stronger and more solid Ibero-American cinematography in the international market. This initiative is supported by the Regional Ministry of Culture and Sport through the CreANDo programme run by the Andalusian Agency for Cultural Institutions (AAIICC).

-Entre Guiones- is an initiative by Ventana Sur to give a diverse selection of scripts the chance to transcend borders and reach the international market. It is also an opportunity for producers and professionals from the rest of the world who are looking to connect with the creativity of Ibero-America without intermediaries. -Entre Guiones- thus aims to promote the talent of the authors, an unavoidable first step in any film production.

For the second year, Festival de Málaga has joined this project and has opened a call for Andalusian screenwriters, from which a maximum of five fiction feature film scripts will be chosen. A committee made up of representatives from the Festival de Málaga/MAFIZ and Ventana Sur will be in charge of selecting the scripts. This section is open to unpublished fiction feature film scripts written in Spanish and they must be in the process of seeking financing, co-producers, sales agents and/or distributors.

During the four days of Ventana Sur, the Andalusian audiovisual industry will have a prominent presence in one of the most strategic global markets with international buyers, sales agents, decision makers, investors, festival programmers, production companies and industry professionals. This is a unique opportunity to promote the internationalisation of the Andalusian audiovisual industry and to support the beginning of the film value chain: screenwriters and their scripts.

The deadline for registration for this call is 10 October. More information and form at www.mafiz.es
