Festival de Málaga (organised by the Málaga City Council through Málaga Procultura) today opens applications for Andalucía International Audiovisual Networking, a new programme designed to promote and internationalise the Andalusian audiovisual sector. The initiative will take place during the 29th edition of the festival.
Andalucía International Audiovisual Networking is co-financed by the Andalucía 2021–2027 ERDF Programme and the Regional Government of Andalusia through the Regional Ministry of Tourism and Andalucía Exterior. The programme will be held within the festival’s Industry section, MAFIZ, on 10, 11 and 12 March, and is conceived as a practical platform to support Andalusian businesses, focusing on business development, financing and international exposure.
The aim of the programme is to strengthen the positioning of Andalusian audiovisual companies within both the Spanish and international value chain, facilitating access to funding, strategic partnerships and internationalisation opportunities.
The call is open to Andalusian companies operating in the audiovisual and creative sectors, legally registered as corporate entities with their registered office in Andalusia, and falling into one of the following categories: audiovisual production companies; production and post-production service providers connected to audiovisual or advertising projects; video game companies; and start-ups or tech companies applying innovative solutions to the audiovisual production value chain.
A selection committee will choose a maximum of 30 Andalusian companies to participate in the scheduled activities during the event. Selection criteria will include links to Andalusia, business experience and track record, international projection potential, and innovation, new narratives and technological solutions applied to the audiovisual sector.
Applicants can register online via the MAFIZ website until 16 February.
