The Festival de Málaga (organised by Malaga City Council through Malaga Procultura) and Cervezas Victoria announced today the renewal of their sponsorship agreement between the brand and the Spanish-language film festival until 2030. The agreement was formalised at the Victoria Brewery in an event attended by the Mayor of Malaga, Francisco de la Torre; the CEO of Damm, Jorge Villavecchia; the Councillor for Culture and Historical Heritage of Malaga City Council, Mariana Pineda; the Director of the Festival de Málaga, Juan Antonio Vigar, and the head of Institutional Relations of Cervezas Victoria, Sergio Ragel.
This renewal of the agreement once again positions Victoria as the official beer of the Festival de Málaga for the next five years, in line with its commitment to culture and important events held in the province.
In addition to the official sponsorship, Cervezas Victoria has been collaborating on various festival-related activities, which are included in this new agreement. These include the Cine Abierto series, with free outdoor screenings held in different locations throughout the city's districts during the summer; and Cinema Cocina, an official section and gastronomic series of the festival that highlights Spanish and Latin American documentaries focused on culinary culture. The brewery is also committed to actively participating in key events such as the festival's 30th anniversary and its centenary in 2028.
During the signing ceremony, both parties reviewed the work carried out since 2021, as well as the importance of maintaining their commitment to one of the most prominent events on the national cultural scene, which year after year strengthens its international standing.
Also noteworthy are the activations that Cervezas Victoria has launched during each edition of the festival, such as the digital and outdoor advertising campaign titled “Film Course for Brewers,” the celebration of more than ten events at the Victoria Brewery, its space at the Cervantes Theatre, and other initiatives with content creators, etc.
