SYNOPSIS Three women share a common goal: Carolina, Bertha and Maxima are leading today's fight against modern conquistadors. Whereas governments and corporations, trapped in a global race towards unlimited growth, need to get the cheapest raw materials, these three women tell us a story of tireless courage: how to keep fighting to protect nature when your life is at risk? When police repression, corporate harassment, injuries or even death threats are part of your daily routine?

Erika González Ramírez

She is feminist and journalist with more than 15 years of experience as a correspondent in Brussels for different media outlets. From 2013 to 2018, she was general director of the European NGO network GRUPO SUR, now called EU-LAT Network. From there she led the network's political advocacy activities before the EU institutions, especially on issues such as the eradication of violence against women and feminicide.

Matthieu Lietaert

He is a film director, activist and professor of Interactive Storytelling at the IE Business School in Madrid. He is the author of Webdocs – Survival Guide for Online Filmmakers and was awarded as the best television journalist in Belgium. He is co-director of The Brussels Business (ARTE, RTBF, ORF, TVE) and author of Climate Ops (ARTE).
