SYNOPSIS Pepa, Antoñita, Pepi, Esperanza, Remedios, Kiska, Catalina and Rafaela are women from the Triana neighbourhood of Seville, aged between 68 and 97. They all share a dream: they want to be monologuists, to succeed in show business and to claim that older women deserve respect and visibility. To this end, they have created a show called:
Orgullo Vieja (
Old Women's Pride).

His first feature-length documentary,
Estrellas de la Línea, won the Audience Award in the Panorama section of the Berlin Film Festival. Since then, he has written and directed nearly a hundred feature films, both fiction and documentary. His films have been selected, and often awarded at festivals such as Berlin, San Sebastian, Malaga, Karlovy Vary, Toronto, Rome, Tokyo or Guadalajara. He was also been nominated for the Goya Award for his film
