SYNOPSIS Over the years, and in her own words, Almudena Grandes describes her way of seeing the world and of understanding life and writing. But Almudena is no longer here. The aim of this film is to keep her memory alive and to celebrate her life and work, without forgetting the painful void left by her death. Luis García Montero, her husband, ventures into that void, and in doing so, completes the intimate portrait of a writer who, like few others, knew how to tell us the story of our own lives.
Azucena Rodríguez She holds a degree in Modern History. She began her career in film as part of the directing team for films such as The Holy Innocents and Voyage to Nowhere. After training as a screenwriter, she worked with Gonzalo Suárez while also writing her own screenplays. Her directorial debut, the feature film Women in Prison, starred Penélope Cruz. This was followed by Puede ser divertido and Atlas of Human Geography, an adaptation of the novel by Almudena Grandes. She has written and directed series such as Cuéntame cómo pasó and The Roar of the Butterflies, as well as documentaries like Maltratadas. She also participated in TVE’s latest documentary series La conquista de la democracia. She has tutored in the Master's Degree in Screenwriting at Carlos III University. FILMOGRAPHY Cuéntame cómo pasó (TV series, 2007-2014), Atlas de geografía humana (feature film, 2007), Puede ser divertido (feature film, 1995). Entre rojas (feature film, 1995)
