SYNOPSIS 1990, Peru. Aquiles, an Amazonian boy, is abducted by the terrorist group Sendero Luminoso. Through his testimony, we witness his journey for over a decade from victim to fighter and his desperate attempt to escape. A raw and intimate look at indoctrination, violence, and survival, the film traces his struggle for identity and freedom.
Francisco J. Lombardi
One of Latin America’s most acclaimed filmmakers, he has directed 17 feature films, awarded at San Sebastián and Montreal, with selections in Cannes, Berlin and Toronto. Honored with Peru’s National Culture Award (2014), he was also nominated to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
