Más pena que Gloria (2001), won the Best Actor award at the 2001 Málaga Film Festival. His second film, Vete de mí, received the Silver Shell for Best Actor at the San Sebastián Film Festival and the Goya Award for Best Leading Actor. In television, he has worked as a screenwriter and director on series.
