SYNOPSIS Bodega Montse was founded in Barcelona´s Raval district in 1893. With a history of more than 130 years it is nowadays represented by Mr. Xavi Quintano, a good guy in his fifties. Meticulously cleaning his well-known anchovies, he explains old stories and misfortunes. Before him parade timeless, spontaneous characters that pay in cash, bring their own food or are astonished at the dust of the bottles. The love for his profession, the resistance to change, tourism and immigration are reflected through dialogues and images.

Montse. The next to last bodega, is the sixth short documentary from the Cultibar group, a poetic gastronomy project. Cultibar was founded in Barcelona in 2012 by David Salvador, Jordi Busquets and Victor Solsona. They began with a blog of written posts that gradually evolved into video projects with the same goal: continue talking about bars.
