SYNOPSIS This Christmas, the grown-ups have told Perla that she is going to lose her mother to an illness called cancer, but she knows that isn’t true. What her mum is really doing is transforming into a mermaid to return to the sea she came from.

Marina Aparicio She has a degree in Filmmaking from the University of the West of England and a Master's degree in Film Industry Management from UC3M. Her work explores interpersonal relationships, grief and communication in our lives, as reflected in her novel Puntos Calientes (2021, Ediciones en el mar) and her award-winning short story El fin de la colmena (2022).
