SYNOPSIS Maria, a spanish woman, enjoys her life alone in Tangier on Malaga Street. Her daughter unexpectedly arrives from Madrid to sell the home she has always lived in, leaving her Maria Angeles, a 79-year-old Spanish woman, lives alone in Tangier, Morocco,and enjoys her daily routine. However, her life is turned upside down when her daughter arrives from Madrid to sell the apartment in which she has always lived. Determined to stay, she does everything she can to get her home and her belongings back and, unexpectedly, rediscovers love and sensualit.
Maryam Touzani
Born in Tangier, is a Spanish-Moroccan documentary filmmaker, screenwriter, actress and director. In 2019, she made her directorial debut with the feature film
Adam, which was selected by Morocco as its Oscar nominee and had its world premiere in the Un Certain Regard section at the Cannes Film Festival. Her second feature film,
The Blue Caftan (2022), was presented in the same section, won the FIPRESCI prize and was also chosen to represent her country at the Oscars.
