SYNOPSIS Adela, a lonely only child from a conservative family, spends her days between the family antiques shop and the catechism classes she teaches. She lives under her mother’s overprotection and the silence surrounding her intersexuality, something she is unaware of, yet which shapes her entire life. An unexpected and tender friendship with a newly arrived priest, the return of a close childhood friend, and the sudden appearance of a woman named Isabel trigger a chain reaction that leads Adela on a journey of self-discovery, from Pamplona to Madrid. Along the way, identity will require love and the help of others in order to be revealed.
Fernando González Molina
After earning a degree in Film Directing from ECAM, he spent his early career working in television as a director and executive producer on series such as
Los Hombres de Paco,
El Barco, and
Luna, el misterio de Calenda. In 2011, he directed his first feature film,
Fuga de cerebros, which won the Audience Award at the Málaga Film Festival and became the highest-grossing Spanish film of the year. This was followed by successful titles such as
Tres metros sobre el cielo,
Tengo ganas de ti,
Palm Trees in the Snow, and the three films that make up the Baztán Trilogy. He later returned to television as the creator of the science-fiction series
Paraíso for Movistar+, released in more than 50 countries. In addition to
Mi querida señorita, set to be released in cinemas and on Netflix after its screening at the Málaga Film Festival, he also has
Cronos pending release this year, a dramatic thriller set in the hours following the 2017 Ramblas attacks.
