SYNOPSIS Ane, tricked by her friend Naroa, ends up at the Armata, a sword fighting event her fencing club organizes every year. Naroa hopes the event will help her forget for one day, the most tragic day of her life. Unfortunately, she finds herself with the person that was there with her on that terrible day.
Jasone Urgoitia Urrutia
After getting her master's degree in Fine Arts and working as a script supervisor and second assistant director in Los Angeles, she went back home to Spain and wrote and directed an intimate personal short film,
Lekitxoko etxea, based on her family home. She got Itziar Ituño from Netflix's
Money Heist as one of the leads and it even got a government grant for the budget. It also did well in the festival circuit, winning awards for best narrative film and best cast. Now she has set a new challenge for herself with her new work,
Armata, a much larger but still very personal short film based on her own experiences with family suicide.
