SYNOPSIS Vera, Juan and their daughter Manuela travel to Mallorca to spend a few days in an idyllic house by the sea. The place is owned by Alonso, Juan's former employer who, after losing his wife in a car accident years ago, decided to retire from the world. Vera and Juan have made the decision to divorce and they want Alonso to act as a good man, a mediator to help them in the process. The process will force them all to confront their secrets and the idea of love and loss.

David Trueba He presented La buena vida, 1996, at the International Cannes Film Festival, his first feature film as a director. He directed in 2000 Obra maestra and in 2003, Soldados de Salamina, presented at the Cannes Film Festival and nominated for 8 Goya Awards. With his feature film Bienvenido a casa in 2006, he received the award for best director at Malaga Film Festival. In 2011 he participated in the official section of the Sundance Festival with Madrid, 1987. In 2013 he directed Vivir es fácil con los ojos cerrados, which received 6 Goya Awards, including best film, best director and best screenplay Casi 40, 2018, received the Special Jury Prize at the Malaga Film Festival. In 2020, he presents A este lado del mundo at the same festival. In 2023 he premieres Saben aquell, winner of 7 Gaudí Awards and nominated for 11 Goya Awards.
