SYNOPSIS The mourning ritual is experienced not only through customary rites, but also through a change in perspective and a redefinition of the experience, which for me happens through ornithology. In
La visita de un pájaro, I propose a sort of poetic manual for an initiation into the world of birds, from the practice of bird-watching to ringing, crossing the empty spaces, the gestures and the landscapes of this environment.
Lucía del Valle Ramírez
Seville, 1996. She works with images, sounds and words. Her research focuses on everyday environments: landscapes, empty spaces, silences and gestures, through devices with which she involve herself in an oscillating game between the physiological and the manual: the device-body. She is a member of Hyksos, an Andalusian participatory film collective. Her work has been shown at (S8) Mostra de Cinema Periférico, Íntima Fest, Mostra Films de Dones and Alcances Festival Cine Documental. She is currently studying at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie, Amsterdam.
