An inexperienced twenty-six year old pastry chef faces the greatest challenge of his career: to enter the Olympus of the great pastry chefs by winning the World Chocolate Masters. Physical and psychological preparation, artistic and creative abilities and gastronomic finesse will be scrutinised by the world's best pastry chefs, who will not easily allow a young mortal to enter their realm. The emotion and the almost first-person experience are at the forefront of this sweet chronicle.
Jordi Torra
Jordi Torra's first foray into documentary filmmaking is the result of more than 20 years of experience in the field of pastry and haute cuisine photography. He has consolidated an outstanding career working with renowned chefs and pastry chefs such as Jordi Butron, Paolo Casagrande, Javier Guillen or Lluc himself. They have defined him as "the big surprise", "suspicious", "'ingenious" or "able to capture what the pastry chef wants to show". His knowledge and understanding of pastry-making has been reflected in his collaboration on books such as
Mini by Xavi Donnay and
El método Espaisucre by Jordi Butrón, in which he has contributed with his skills. His versatility has led him to collaborate with brands outside the confectionery industry, including Swatch and Martini.
