SYNOPSIS Meri Román was a queen of Madrid's gay nightlife, but that was more than 10 years ago. Now, at 35, she is a dethroned diva who lives tormented by her past and bored with her mediocre present. After the death of her father, Meri reconnects with her gay friends, reminiscing about her past and the musical hits that marked that era, while trying to define her chaotic life and her identity.

Javier Ferreiro Lugo, 1989, is the creator and director of the musical series Mariliendre, produced by Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi for Atresplayer. Mariliendre is his second collaboration with Suma Content after working as a scriptwriter on Vestidas de azul, the continuation of the successful series Veneno. Holding a degree in Audiovisual Communication from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, he specialized in screenwriting before studying fiction directing at the International Film and Television School of San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba.
