SYNOPSIS In a world where casual sex is routine and genuine conversation is taboo, Pedro, a mixed-race outsider trapped in a passionless marriage, secretly escapes through music. When he meets Kira, another outsider who shares his yearning for true intimacy, they begin a risky conversational affair.
Joecar Hanna
Chinese-Lebanese filmmaker raised in Valencia and a graduate of the Master of Fine Arts in Film at New York University. Before moving to New York, he worked as an editor on six feature films and one television series. At NYU, he stood out as a writer and director, winning the Black Family Award. His short film
Deliver Me premiered at SXSW 2023, was acquired by Canal+, and earned him the Ang Lee Scholarship Award. He is currently preparing his first feature film and distributing
Talk Me, which premiered at Cannes 2025 and won the award for Best International Short Film at TIFF.
