SYNOPSIS In 1995, Spain had an undisputed idol: Chiquito de la Calzada. His language permeated the streets, television studios, and even official speeches. Politicians, athletes, and the King himself bowed to the comedian who had revolutionized a generation. But one night, the most-watched program on private television decided to pull off a masterstroke: introducing Lucas Grijander, a character eerily similar to Chiquito. So similar, in fact, that he soon began to take his place.
Diego San José Screenwriter for film and television specializing in comedy. He began his career writing for humor programs such as Vaya Semanita and El Intermedio. In 2009, he made his first foray into cinema alongside Borja Cobeaga, with whom he wrote Pagafantas, awarded Best New Screenplay at the Málaga Film Festival. He also co-wrote 8 apellidos vascos with Cobeaga, the highest-grossing Spanish film in history. In recent years, he has created the series Yakarta and Celeste.
