After the success of its inaugural edition, the Malaga Festival faced a challenge. It was revalidated with the conviction that the project had made a deep impression both in the Spanish film sector and in the city itself. ‘There is no one to write to the colonel’, the adaptation by the Mexican filmmaker Arturo Ripstein made by from the homonymous novel by Gabriel García Márquez, was the film in charge of inaugurating the second edition of the contest.
