Malaga Festival brings together the audiovisual industry in Madrid to thank them for their support in turning Malaga into a film city

Malaga Festival, in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the Junta de Andalucía and the high-speed railway company IRYO, today brought together in Madrid a large group of representatives of Spanish cinema at an event to thank the whole audiovisual industry for its support in turning Malaga into a film city.
Abraham Mateo, from Cadiz, performed at the event, which was attended by representatives of some institutions and sponsors of the Malaga Festival. Málaga City Council, the organiser of the event, was represented by its Councillor for Culture, Mariana Pineda, who spoke at the event together with the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the Junta de Andalucía, Víctor González, and the Festival's Director, Juan Antonio Vigar.
Also attending were Simone Gorini, CEO and general director of IRYO; José Pastor, director of Cine y Ficción at RTVE; Javier Bardají, managing director of Atresmedia; Juan Carlos Barroso, territorial manager in Andalusia, Ceuta and Melilla of ‘la Caixa’ Foundation; Ana Belén Morales, commercial director of private banking in Eastern Andalusia at Caixabank; and Sergio Ragel, External Relations of Cervezas Victoria.
Mariana Pineda highlighted that the Malaga Festival is already the leading event for the Spanish and in Spanish audiovisual industry. 'A nerve center in which the sector experiences an international event at the highest level, which demonstrates every year that cinema, as well as being an essential part of our culture, is also a strategic economic sector. This thanks to an industry of enormous dynamism and prestige that comes together annually in our city,' she said. She concluded by inviting those present to toast to the next edition, from the 1st to the 10th of March 2024.
