AAMMA holds its General Meeting within the framework of the Malaga Festival
The Asociación Andaluza de Mujeres de los Medios Audiovisuales (AAMMA) is celebrating its General Meeting in Malaga next Saturday, the 2nd of March, coinciding with the Film Festival
Film and audiovisual media professionals who work and live in the autonomous community will travel to Malaga from all corners of Andalusia. Directors, producers, scriptwriters, technicians, creators, experts in the audiovisual industry, actresses, composers, researchers, trainers and communicators will meet in Malaga’s capital to celebrate their annual assembly.
At this meeting, which will be led by the president of AAMMA, Agus Jiménez, the report of the activities carried out by the Asociación throughout 2023 will be presented, including the “Women In Focus” cycle at the SEFF; the “Mujeres que Documentan el Mundo” program of the Alcances Festival; the third edition of GENERAMMA, el Festival de Cine Realizado por Mujeres, organised by AAMMA, or the workshop between the associations of women filmmakers AAMMA, CIMA and Mujeres en VO and the Festival de Málaga. The strategic lines and the calendar of actions and projects for 2024 will be approved.
Malaga, the AAMMA new headquarters
Choosing Malaga to hold this General Meeting coincides with the recent opening of a new AAMMA headquarters in the city, which is added to the association's original headquarters in Seville. With more than 220 members from all the Andalusian provinces, AAMMA considers that this presence in Malaga is essential to project and expand its activity from a geographical point so closely linked to cinema and audiovisual production. In addition, it aims to strengthen alliances and strengthen synergies with other associations and institutions in the city to advance common objectives.
This Meting is sponsored by Promálaga, a municipal company that led the European Green Screen project in Spain and later Eureca, the European calculator that measures the carbon footprint of audiovisual productions.
