Àlex Monner is considered to be one of the most talented young actors in Spanish cinema.
At just 18, he won the Gaudí Award for Best Actor for Patricia Ferreira's Los niños salvajes, and shortly afterwards he starred in Isaki Lacuesta's La próxima piel, a role for which he received nominations at major national awards.
On television, he has starred in, among others, the hit series Pulseras Rojas, Mariano Barroso's miniseries La línea invisible and Borja Soler's series La ruta, winner of the Feroz Award and the Ondas Award for Best Drama Series.
After studying at the New York Film Academy, Àlex appeared in Life Itself, a film by Dan Fogelman that marked his Hollywood debut.
He recently starred in La furia (Fury), Gemma Blasco's debut feature, for which he won the Silver Biznaga Award for Best Supporting Actor at last year’s Festival de Málaga.
A committed filmmaker with over 15 years of experience in non-fiction, Paula studied Audiovisual Communication at the Complutense University of Madrid and completed her Film studies at the University of Saint Denis, Paris 8. With a background in flamenco and contemporary dance, Paula continues her work in Paris, creating video dance pieces with various companies. The filmmaker has written, directed, and produced for networks such as Arte France, RTVE, and Al Jazeera, among others, demonstrating a strong interest in the Middle East.
Her two feature films stand out, both nominated for awards including the Goya Awards: Cartas Mojadas (Drowning Letters), released in 2020, which won the Audience Award for Best Documentary Feature at the Festival de Málaga, and "Mi hermano Ali" (My Brother Ali) in 2024, for which Paula won the Netflix IDA Award for Global Emerging Director in Los Angeles.
She is currently working on various fiction and non-fiction projects. In 2024/25, she participated in the Film Academy Residencies with her feature film project Amor de Dios, a musical thriller based on an original idea by Carlos Saura.
Born in Buenos Aires in 1983, this Argentine director, screenwriter, and producer is the co-founder of Gaman Cine, along with Emiliano Torres, where he develops and produces feature films and documentaries. In 2026, he was selected for Berlinale Talents.
In 2011 he directed Verdades Verdaderas. La vida de Estela, a biopic about Estela de Carlotto, president of the Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo, starring Susú Pecoraro, Alejandro Awada, Inés Efrón, Laura Novoa and Rita Cortese; in 2018, he released Las grietas de Jara, based on the novel by Claudia Piñeiro, starring Oscar Martínez, Joaquín Furriel, Soledad Villamil, Sara Sálamo and Santiago Segura; in 2024, he released Como el mar, starring Sofía Gala Castiglione, Zoe Hochbaum and featuring Carmen Maura. That same year, he directed the documentary Traslados, about the death flights of the last Argentine dictatorship.
His films have been screened at festivals such as the San Sebastián Film Festival, the Festival de Málaga, the Warsaw Film Festival, the Valladolid International Film Festival (Seminci), the Mar del Plata Film Festival, the Havana Film Festival, the Palm Springs International Film Festival, the Biarritz Latin American Film Festival, the Toulouse Latin American Film Festival, the Punta del Este International Film Festival, and the Oman International Film Festival, among others.
As a producer, he participated in Paz Encina's Eami, winner of the Tiger Award at the 2022 Rotterdam International Film Festival. He is the producer of Herman Szwarcbart's LS83, winner of the Buenos Aires City Grand Prize for Best Argentine Film at BAFICI 26. He is currently working on La otra voz, about the exile of Mercedes Sosa, directed by Agustina Pérez Rial and produced by Fiørd Estudio and Gaman Cine, with development support from the IDFA Bertha Fund.
