SYNOPSIS De caballos y guitarras is a musical, but it is also a reflection on looking, on the attempt to get away from an anthropocentric gaze, and also on the act of looking itself in cinema. It is basically a horse movie, a film about a guitar concert for horses that took place in Bramante's Tempietto in Rome: a true symbol of the ideas of window, perspective and reason that established a way of looking that has become hegemonic.
Pedro G. Romero He was born in 1964 in Aracena, Huelva. He is a researcher, curator, filmmaker, and editor who has been actively engaged in the artistic realm since 1985. Since the late 1990s, he has focused his efforts on two significant projects: the F.X. Archive and the P.H. Machine. Through these platforms, he has spearheaded the Independent Platform of Modern and Contemporary Flamenco Studies. The main objective of this platform is to broaden the scope of flamenco studies by incorporating tools from aesthetics, art history, visual studies, and innovative perspectives derived from cultural studies, anthropology, and sociology. FILMOGRAPHY Siete Jereles (documentary, 2022), Nueve Sevillas (documentary, 2020)
