SYNOPSIS Motherlands (Amas da Terra) is a social and cultural project by the renowned chef Lucía Freitas that takes the form of an audiovisual thread to present four of its protagonists. They are the farmer and market seller Pilar Álvarez, the shellfish gatherer Adela Lestón, the cows farmer Ana Corredoira, and the wine grower Esther Teijeiro, all fundamental producers who represent (respectively) the vegetable garden, the sea, the countryside and the memory-essence, and who symbolize the 4 pillars of Lucía's cuisine and philosophy. 
Xisela Franco She is a filmmaker with extensive experience in documentary filmmaking. She has a degree in Audiovisual Communication and Philosophy. With her documentary Aadat in 2004, about Saharawi women was co-directed with Noé Rodríguez, she received the City of Madrid Award for best spanish documentary at DocumentaMadrid. Her work as a director was in the official section of festivals such as Dok Leipzig Film Festival, European ShortFilm Biennale in Ludwigsburg, Montreal Underground Film Festival, Intermediaciones - Muestra videoarte de Medellín, Festival Internacional de Cinema S8 de Curitiva in Brazil, PlayDoc Tui, S8 - Mostra de Cinema Periférico, Cineuropa, MICE, Curtocircuito - AGAG Award for best script, for Cruz Piñón.
