SYNOPSIS In a poor country ruined by a recent war, in the midst of a dictatorship, a film school was created. And it became, unintentionally, a space of freedom. That dream lasted only fifteen years, but it changed the history of Spanish cinema forever. Today we still have the practices of all its students. The first frames shot by those who would mark our lives as spectators: Bardem, Berlanga, Saura, Erice, Patino, Summers, Olea, Mercero, Borau...
Luis E. Parés He has been a programmer at festivals and institutions such as Zinebi, Punto de Vista, Cortocircuito, Instituto Cervantes and the Reina Sofía Museum. He has worked as a programmer at Filmoteca Española and the Seville Film Festival, and was also coordinator of the RTVE program Historia de nuestro cine. He has taught classes and courses in schools and institutions such as ECAM, TAI, Lens, MUSAC, La Laboral or La Casa Encendida. He is currently the artistic director of the Cineteca Matadero in Madrid. He has made the short films My Ideology. Variations On A Concept in 2013, Aidez l’Espagne in 2014, The Corpse of Time in 2016 and The Conspirators in 2021, which have been screened at national and international festivals such as Clermont Ferrand, Flaherty Seminar or FID Marseille.
