SYNOPSIS Fifty years later, Luciana Fina revisits the images of the 1974 Carnation Revolution in Portugal, reconsidering the transition from fascism to liberation and the process of building a new country, for its emancipation and its future. It is a tribute to the cinema that interfered in history and restores today the hypothesis of an extraordinary moment.
Luciana Fina Born in Bari, Italy, in 1962. Italian filmmaker and visual artist who has been based in Lisbon since 1991. Curator of film programs and editions for Cinemateca Portuguesa, researcher at the Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon. She directed her first documentary film in 1997, joining the generation of filmmakers who have breathed new life into documentary cinema in Portugal. Her films, filmic and site-specific installations are regularly presented at international film festivals and exhibitions. With Andromeda and SEMPRE, she dedicated herself to archive cinema.
