SYNOPSIS José Manuel Ibar, Urtain, was a unique case in world boxing. Franco was looking for an idol for this sport and found a champion of stone lifting in Basque Country, who had never considered stepping into a ring. He became a myth and the most popular Spanish athlete of the seventies, but after leaving boxing, that good man lost everything. Alcoholic, ruined and forgotten, he ended up jumping into the void from his tenth floor apartment in Madrid. From heaven to hell the boxing ring.

Producer and director, in 2007 he founded the company REC Produccions to produce documentaries of his own creation. Since then, he has directed and produced documentary films that are available to watch on RTVE Play, Movistar+, Filmin or Prime Video and that have won awards at film festivals such as DocsBarcelona, Malaga, Sitges, AbyCine, DokLeipzig or Karlovy Vary, among others.

Jordi Rovira With a degree in Journalism, Politics and Sociology from the UAB, he is a journalist and writer. He has made social reports in around thirty countries such as Kosovo, Iraq, Sierra Leone or Northern Ireland that were published in newspapers like El Periódico, El País or La Vanguardia. Since 2005 he has been the director of the magazine Capçalera. He is the author of No será fácil, a biography of the photographer Joana Biarnés.
