SYNOPSIS After Julian's death, his wife Delia and daughter Anabel must face life without him. A threat of eviction will put their fragile economy at risk, pushing mutual care to the background. Amid uncertainty, they must find a way to overcome this painful yet necessary process called mourning.
Belén Funes Born in Ripollet, Barcelona, she discovered her passion for communication and filmmaking, studying film direction at ESCAC, where she graduated in 2008. She later completed a master's in fiction writing at EICTV in Cuba. In 2015, she made her directorial debut with Sara a la fuga, which premiered at the Málaga Film Festival and won the Silver Biznaga for Best Director and Best Short Film. Her second short, La Inútil (2017), premiered at Seminci and was nominated for Best Short Film at the Gaudí Awards. In 2018, she joined TIFF's Talent Lab to develop her first feature, La hija de un ladrón, which premiered at San Sebastián, winning multiple awards. Her latest film is Los tortuga.
